Our Going Ons

We have been busy enjoying the summer, well except for the daily thunder storms that we've been having lately. All is well with us, so here are some pics of our going ons. My Cousin Ben and his wife Megan were in town for my birthday and took this picture of me blowing out my candles. I don't get many pictures of me. So happy birthday to me and thanks for the cool pics! Todd got me a new trailer to go with my bike. The girls and I went on a bike ride a few days later and I couldn't get them to get out of the trailer, so I had to wheel it in the house until they finally decided to get out.
Since I graduated from school and had children, one of my goals has been to continue to learn new things. I made a quilt, mastered dinner rolls, and my next project was to bake bread. (I know I am a domestic nerd) My grandma Wallace, before she passed away, showed me how to make her bread and even wrote down the recipe. This was my first attempt and it is fabulous. It even looks good. I know man cannot live on bread alone, but I think I could live on this. Now I just have to make it regularly to keep my family happy.

Ella loves to have tea parties and Claire decided to join her. They looked so cute sipping on their water and eating marshmallows and Claire can barely see over the table.

Claire loves popcorn and she loves to share. Here she is sharing her popcorn with Daddy, well she was sharing with him until I came in with a camera. Definitely a poser.

What we've been up to

We've been up to a lot lately, so I thought I would show some pictures of our latest adventures.
This is Claire plus chocolate cookie given by friend just before getting in the car. I had to clean chocolate off of everything.
For Mother's Day I really wanted to go to the coast. We had a wonderful time in Florence. We played on the beach, went to the Newport Aquarium, and checked out Devil's Churn. It was a great weekend.

Ella just above Devil's churn.

Ella had her first dance recital. She was very excited and even posed for me.

We got the girls a pool over the weekend. We spent hours outside on Saturday. The girls had a blast. Below is a cute video of Claire going down the slide. We got the slide for Ella's first birthday and got it back out when Claire turned one. She's just figured out how to swing her leg over and go down all by herself. She's getting so big.

Silly Girls

Here are a few recent pictures of the girls. They just make me laugh and I have to take a picture.
A very serious ballerina. Ella at her first dance class. Doesn't she play the part perfect!
An early morning Easter egg hunt. Ella was up by 6 am to see what treats the bunny had left.

A very exciting afternoon in a box.

Spaghetti and meatball Tuesday. Claire obviously loved it.
I told you they are cute.

Clean Freak

I think one of the hardest activities to accomplish as a mom is to clean. I am a clean freak. I like things to be clean and put away, but with children it is difficult and mostly impossible. This video and picture explain what I mean.

Some people say their kids are afraid of the vacuum, not mine unfortunately. I promise I didn't put them up this either.

Question

This is for Anne. She does Trivia Tuesday and I have a trivia question for her, but if anyone else knows the answer, feel free to commend back. This song was featured on a popular teen 80's movie. The title of the song is "I can't help falling in love with you." It is set to a bit of an Irish tune. I was thinking of it being St. Patrick's Day and all. Good luck!
Good job Anne. I had to do a bit of research to find it. If you go to my play list you can listen to the song. I just love it!!!

Wicked

This weekend Todd, Todd's cousin Dionne, and I went to a great broadway musical. Todd and I had seen Wicked in New York before, but had a great time seeing it in Portland and actually liked it even better. We made a weekend out of it and even got free babysitting by the Fryer's. Go see it if you haven't because it's fabulous.
